People do really dumb things when it comes to the environment and conservation. The Nature Conservancy discusses if we should have a new breed of ethics for the planet and asks for your input on those really dumb things. If you look hard enough you’ll actually find money for environmental projects in the stimulus bill that passed last night. Hmm, what would happen if more money went to alternative energy technologies instead of pork projects? I just about cried when I saw the photo of Sam the Koala who survived the Australian wildfires. A Standford University scientist warns that climate change is likely to be more devastating than experts predicted. Great, and I thought it was already going to be pretty darn bad. Sometimes all we need to do is look to nature for our answers. Case in point, butterflies have inspired a new solar technology. This is probably the coolest building design I’ve ever seen: a rotating, wind-powered, energy-efficient skyscraper in Dubai. Sweet. My fiance, Jason, spent hours and hours brainstorming unique ways to save money, with a focus on conservation. He actually came up with 98 Ways to Save Money Tips Part 1 and Part 2.
