Video of University of Michigan’s Solar Car
-
A car powered on 100% solar energy - gotta love it!
From the makers of this video:
“The car runs purely off of sunlight (some which is previously stored on batteries for cloudy weather/night), they can keep up speed on the highway and they’re pretty impressive when you think about how they’re powered.
This car is part of the 2008 North American Solar Challenge (NASC2008) which is a competition to design, build, and drive solar-powered cars in a cross-country time/distance rally event. Teams compete in a 2400 mile drive from Plano, Texas, USA to Calgary, Alberta, Canada.
This video was filmed on route 75, somewhere near Sherman, Texas.”
