What is more important to you? Do you think that we have to choose between one or the other?

I have read a couple of related articles recently. One stating that 90% of American consumers feel that it is corporations who should be responsible for making their products and processes eco-friendly rather than individuals (its at sustainablog.org) and the other about a study that showed people in developed (wealthy) nations care less about the environment than the rest of the world. It really does not inspire a lot of confidence in the future!
