I just tried one of these at a retail store. The power button was really difficult to slide forward into the “on” position. To make matters worse, the power button is surrounded by a hard-edged raised rim that makes sliding the power switch — crazy but true — somewhat painful on your thumb. Go figure. I love Dustbusters and have owned a series of them over the years. It’s possible that the unit I tried at the store was a lemon, but the sharp-edged raised rim on the power button is still a stupid design no matter how you look at it. I never had any problem turning on the previous models, so I don’t know what problem Black & Decker was trying to solve, but this model never should have gotten beyond the prototype stage.

I love my new dustbuster. Your email said I would receive my shipment in one to two days. It didn’t arrive until two weeks later. I didn’t know it was being shipped from Target. I probably won’t use amazon.com for this reason.

Bought the Dustbuster as a replacement for a dustbuster we had for over 10 years. Read the reviews on Amazon and made the purchase. It has been delightful, it is very efficient in picking up most things, including dog hair. The suction is better than expected and the unit is very solid and has a lot of quality in manufacture. If there is any negative, it is a little heavy. Super purchase!!
